Areas of Work

I undertake general commercial property work for a range of clients including partnerships and joint ventures, including:

• negotiation of sale and purchase contracts of development land conditional on planning permission
• option agreements
• planning and infrastructure agreements on behalf of residential developer clients
• negotiation of commercial leases of office and industrial premises
• purchase and sale of investment property
• setting up special purpose vehicles for property transactions including LLPs

I enjoy working closely with my clients on a day to day basis tailoring my service to their individual requirements. I view development work in particular as a creative process and take enormous satisfaction in helping clients to achieve their objectives throughout the life of a project from initial site inspection (wellingtons a must), contract, Heads of Terms, negotiations, funding, legal completion, construction and eventual sale/lease.

Experience

I have acted for clients setting up property joint ventures involving LLPs.  I have also acted for major house building consortia in multi million pound site acquisitions nationwide, involving negotiation of pre and post tender Collaboration Agreements, partition transfers and all ancillary development matters.

Awarded the John Mackrell Prize in respect of The Law Society Final Examinations.

Interests

Sport; playing golf and (now) watching football.
