Areas of Work

I work as part of the Business Litigation Team in assisting our business clients resolve disputes as painlessly as possible for them (and, if necessary, as painfully as possible for the opposition). The team has helped both partnerships with disputes against third parties and partners in disputes with each other. 

I discuss the client's objectives from the outset and work backwards to devise a strategy to achieve this goal. It is imperative that groundwork is done at the beginning of the case to ensure a strategy is put in place. Our clients are therefore fully aware of what lies ahead in terms of the work to be done, the timeframe and the costs. It also ensures that we do not embark on a lost cause with a case that has no merit.

I have been with Ralli solicitors for almost 4 years now. Time flies when you are having fun!  I love being a litigator.  I put this down to me being so competitive.  My friends and family poke fun at me for this, but I think it is an essential tool in any litigator's toolbox.  Disputes are like any competition.  You use the rules (and in the case of litigation, the law) to win.

A combination of versatility and a competitive edge enables me to achieve my client's goals - whether this be pursuing a matter with vigour or trying to resolve a dispute whilst maintaining a business relationship.

Experience

Dealing with the fallout of partnerships at will where there is no partnership agreement.  Acting for property companies in joint ventures.

I have been involved in a number of high value cases. In particular a successful Arbitration for a Housing Association against a quantity surveyor for Professional Negligence. I act for a number of building companies to resolve construction disputes via court action, arbitration, adjudication or mediation.

During my time at Ralli Solicitors I have continued to grow as a litigator and become a father to a beautiful baby girl. It keeps me on my toes now being in the minority and living with two headstrong girls!

Interests

After an eventful 10 months traveling around the world [including breaking down in the outback, going on a helihike (landing on a Glacier by helicopter, clipping into your crampons and going on a hike) on the Franz Joseph Glacier in New Zealand and swimming with dolphins off the coast of New Zealand] I returned, kicking and screaming to the UK to finish my studies.  For any cynics out there I had not been deported I was just enjoying myself too much.

I like competition, winning, spending time with my family, playing squash and golf (but not all at the same time). I also enjoy traveling and socialising with friends over a good meal and wine.
